About Farm Minerals

Company, technology and field evidence
Farm Minerals Inc. is an agricultural inputs company based in San Francisco, California. We build hectare-rate crop nutrition systems and livestock feed additives that deliver nutrition at a fraction of conventional application rates. We replace tons with tablets.

What we make

Our products are dosed by the hectare, not by the bag. CropTab™ NPK is a hectare-rate crop nutrition system: one 13 g effervescent tablet dissolves in 5–10 L of clean water and covers one hectare (2.5 acres). In that nutrient band and at the applied timing, it carries the nutrient leverage of about 100 kg of conventional granular NPK, per pass. It tank-mixes into an existing spray pass and works with filters down to 25 microns, so no new equipment is needed. NutriPeak™ Micros delivers zinc, manganese, iron, copper and magnesium through the same carbon-encapsulated route, on a timed release: Fe at 72 h, Mn at 120 h, Zn at 168 h. ElevateFeed™ is a carbon-matrix feed premix for poultry, aqua, swine and cattle. It does not add nutrients; it improves how existing nutrients are delivered and absorbed, at inclusion rates measured in grams per ton. ElevateFeed™ is not a veterinary medicinal product — always follow recommended inclusion rates.

How the technology works

Conventional programs are applied in bulk because a large share of the applied nutrient never reaches the crop. It leaches, becomes fixed in the soil, or volatilizes. Our approach is a carbon capsule that carries nutrients into the plant rather than onto the field. Three pathways do the work: direct foliar uptake through cuticle and stomata, with the carbon matrix holding solution on the leaf; rhizosphere priming, where carbon washed off the canopy stimulates soil microbial activity and mobilizes locked soil reserves; and improved metabolic efficiency observed in trials, a mechanism still under characterization. Release runs in three phases — fast over 0–24 hours, medium over 2–7 days as carbon-bound nutrients desorb to the rhizosphere, and slow over 1–3 weeks through microbially mediated release. This is not a biostimulant, and it is not a slow-release coating on conventional granules. The capsule is the delivery mechanism itself.

Evidence from the field

We publish trial figures rather than projections. In a lab trial on Triticum aestivum, nano-N applied as a mono-treatment at 0.1–0.3 ppm against ammonium nitrate at equivalent N produced +9.8% plant height, +7.3% wet biomass and +6.0% dry biomass. In wheat trials with Wildfarmed (UK, 2025), protein levels (grain N) were maintained while phosphorus and potassium in grain increased, with external nutrient input reduced. NutriPeak™ Micros has shown +21% yield in wheat, +10% in corn and +14% in soybean, and up to 31% less NPK used overall. ElevateFeed™ has been trialled across broiler chickens (Ross 308), Coturnix quail and carp, with +9% daily weight gain and a 7% FCR improvement in poultry, and up to +12% faster growth in aquaculture.

Sustainability

Life-cycle analysis shows savings of roughly 500–600 lb CO₂e per acre. The logistics change is the same order: one 13 kg box replaces 25 tons of fertilizer, courier-shippable and pallet-free. Because nutrients are taken up rather than lost, CropTab™ delivers zero leaching and near-100% plant uptake.

Where we operate

CropTab™ is registered under US state fertilizer laws, compliant with Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, and CE-marked for EU markets. Products are commercially available in the US, the EU and Australia, with supply currently limited to select growers, agronomy teams and early adopters.
